Freida came to the attention of the Bond team when they were casting Quantum of Solace. She was too young at the time to have a part as a love interest for a secret agent.
The 24 year old Indian actress and professional model performed as Latika in her debut film Slumdog Millionaire, which won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2009.

She also has been cast in Woody Allen’s next film set in London. Shooting for the film starts in July 2009 with other cast members including Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins, Antonio Banderas and Naomi Watts.
