Ashley Force, 24, applied a measure of positive energy to a difficult season Monday when she accepted the Automobile Club of Southern California’s 2007 Road to the Future Award as the professional Rookie-of-the-Year in the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series.
In the first round at the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals, Wilkerson posted the quickest pass of the weekend, a 4.762 run that eliminated Tony Bartone. In Round Two, Wilkerson faced off against the Team Force car driven by Ashley Force and sent her home with a 4.792 against her 4.812.
